Contracts
What is a contract ?
A Contract is the technical connection between a Merchant Account and a provider. It contains credentials, payment method configuration, and operational settings.
Contracts are owned at Account level. A Program Manager can create contracts on behalf of a Merchant Account. In some cases, there can be more than one contract for the same provider — for example, to cover different settlement currencies or sales channels.
The Contracts menu is accessible from the left navigation. It is visible only to users with the appropriate permissions. If you do not see it, contact your Program Manager.
Contract lifecycle
A contract moves through fours states :
| Stage | Meaning | Operationally usable ? |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Created but not yet activated | No |
| Published | Live and operational | Yes |
| Unpublished | Temporarily paused | No |
| Revoked | Permanently retired | No |
Only Published contracts can be used for routing and new payment flows. Historical data and past transactions remain available regardless of state.
The Contracts table hides Revoked contracts by default. To view them, remove the Status is not Revoked filter from the Active Filters bar.
